Can you tell me if Lowes # 254634, your # 82190 is still available?
Thursday, June 18, 2009 by Chris Fox:
Most Lowe’s stores stock this solar post cap. If the store in your area does not stock it, ask them to look it up in their system using stock item number 254634. They can then special order it using our SOS item number of 108975 and the model number of 82190. You can also find other local retailers for our post caps by Maine Ornamental at http://www.ufpi.com/product/postcaps/WhereToBuy.aspx or by calling us toll-free at 866-780-3507.

I bought 2 Maine Ornimental Solar Post Cap Lights two years ago. They both faded to yellow within the first six months. I returned them to Lowes. They told me the manufacturer forgot to put the uv protectant in.The replacement ones had one that only would barely light for an hour so I returned it for a refund, and replaced it with a post cap. Now the last one has moisture in the solar panel and doesn't light at all. But the one year warranty is up. Seems this product is pure junk. What's up with your lack of Quality folks?

Wow! What an amazing response from Tim Deiter of Customer Relations. Mr. Deiter personally contacted me and insisted he make things right with the post lights. It's great to know there still is a company that really wants satisfy a disappointed customer. It's also encouraging to see a company that is continually developing this relatively young technology, and marketing it at an affordable price. Solar is one of those cool things that will help green up the earth and let us all step a little further away from the power grid. (not to mention they're pretty to look at) Thank you Tim for your customer care and personal service.

I just want to say that my opinion of this product changed for the better the moment that Tim Deiter called me directly rather than responding by email. He replaced all of the lights that were defective and even sent me a couple of extras. I don't think I've ever received such good customer service and every light he sent me works perfect. Seems the lights I purchased at Lowes probably had bad batteries. I can't say enough about the service provided and the product is excellent. We enjoy every evening on the deck since the lights were installed. I would recommend this product and this company to anyone looking for deck lights. The amount of light they put off for being solar is also impressive. Best light you will get for the money. Thanks again Tim, I am truly a satisified customer.
