I am confused. You say to cover up the attic gables with the Enerflex Radiant barrier -- if i do this, it will reduce eliminate the venitlation flow in my attic to almost nothing. Wouldn't that be bad? further, in the U Tube tape you also say to leave a6 in gap around the vents so that the fail doesn't interfere with the ventilation. So which is it? Cover it up? Or leave a gap around the gable vent. I'm getting ready to start working on this next week so please answer as soon as you can. Thank you! Hot in Texas

Thanks for your question Catherine. Cover up you gable ends while maintaining a 6-inch around any exterior vents. This will help allow for proper air flow. Please refer to the installation instructions as well: http://www.ufpi.com/literature/enerflexinstall.pdf
